Disregard, turns out only 1 of the 3 ignition/switched (red cables) was live. I took off the butt connectors on the battery (yellow) and ignition/switched (red) and used wire nuts as I tested my way through until it worked. First car stereo I've done so probably something quite simple to most.

I recently bought a Dual XHD6420 and installed it in my '02 Saturn SL1. The red light behind the face blinks but when I hook up the face it won't power up or do anything key to Acc, on, or the engine running. I bought the wire harness for it to connect back to my car and used butt connectors...
