please help with comps ! crackling sound at mid to high volume

How likely are you to damage the mids at the same time as the tweeters on a component set like this? I've just done the same thing as duro it seems.

    4-Channel Amp < 300$

Well i was looking at amps ~90-125rms a channel at 4ohms. i'll likely be going budget with the sub so something that'll be running ~300-400rms. Do you have specs on that interfire lows? Wait a min, is it This????. If so why the extra 25$? Was actually looking at one of these...

Apps making it essentially a navi unit as well because you can operate various navigation based apps from the unit. Well worth the 100$ imo.

    Comps under $200

Such a tough call now, I was leaning toward the MM's but they're ~$60 more from what i've found. So if the CTX's are as solid as you say hard pressed to spend another $60 on a potentially identical comp set sound wise.

    Comps under $200

That being said from a more seasoned perspective did you find the Id CTX's to be harsh or pingy at all? They're one of the sets i'm most seriously considering for my new car, but I prefer a softer sounding tweet. I'm tossing between the CTX's the Polk Audio MM6501 and these Rockford Fosgate...
