    second battery ground question.

like i said. with electrical if never hurts to have more conductivity.

    Need Help

check the ohm load of the coils. check speaker wire resistance for anything other than dead short or something really low. plug in an MP3 player to the amp (at low volume) and see if it plays anything.

    loud popping noise

sounds like you might have your positive 0 ga grounding out to the frame! Your amp is gonna pull more than 200 amps of current... and if it's shutting off at high volumes... bad ground 9\10 times... where are you grounded to in the back?

What could be the problem? Cutting out...

i can't find that amp in a mono model. only 2 channel. if so, you need to wire each coil to a channel on the amp. and do not get a capacitor, whoever said that is awfully retarded. if your voltage is dropping so low that it goes into protect, a cap is not going to solve the problem. however...

    Rendezvous Wiring Problems

check what wires you are spliced into. newer GM cars' HUs communicate with the vehicles computer. if you broke that wire(s) then the HU would say "Locked" and not power up. the computer may also deny power to other systems, but i don't know for sure.

    second battery ground question.

not if you're pulling so much current that a run back up front is more conductive than the frame. or if you don't have a full frame car. or if you don't have any good grounding locations.

    H/U problems

It might be. 10 years on the road is hard on any electrical component. The volume pot might just be worn from 10 years of turning and it has lost it's sensitivity to movement, causing the rapid jumping in volume.

Do battery terminal meters causing battery drain?

yeah, usually they only display when there is current draw above a certain threshold...which is usually when the car is running or when the system is playing.

WTF?? Crazy amount of distorion and need help!!!

check your ground at the source, check all your terminals on the speakers, and check to see if the speaker terminals on the doors are grounding themselves to the door frame. I always use a little bit of shrinkwrap over my female terminals for my speakers, that way there isn't any exposed metal...

    cheap RCA cables

yeah, pick up some shielded RCAs from monoprice, can't beat the price and quality is decent enough for car audio.
