As far as the sub goes...I want something simple, it doesn't have to be amazing, but I'd like a little extra oomph in my bass. I definitely want speakers, right now I'm using stock speakers. I don't know about an amp though...I imagine I will need one even with a cheaper audio system, but how...

I'm thinking speakers, but, like I said, I don't really know what amps and subs would do for me. Are they optional? If anyone would like to give a quick explanation of what each thing does that'd be great, otherwise I'll be looking stuff up to come back here and give more information.
