All wire IS NOT equal. The diffrence is that the kit for 1000 watts is made of a less conductive material. Now the box will say that the wire is brass... but it is like 50% brass and 50% other not good conducter shit. The 2000 watt kit is 75% brass and 25% gold... gold is the best conductor...

You do not have to hook up the ground for your speakers at all. All you need is the positive. This is do to the fact that in electric system the negative line is always the same, no matter what. The positive is the only thing that ever cahnges, so the ground that you ground the amp with will...

4 gauge is great but i dissagree with using wal-mart wire...i say this because the more you pay the better quality of the wire...the better quality the more power you can put threw it. If you need any more help e-mail me or send a private message.
