ugh, so it turns out the sub is blown, i suppose you just can't tell anymore by pressing the surface of the cone... i appreciate all the help!!

to be honest i'm not sure what tinsels are and where they're located; however, I used the wire powering the working subwoofer on the one not responding so i'm sure there is no break... i really appreciate the input guys! if anything crosses your minds i would love any other feedback!!

hey guys, i have two kicker l5's with an amp powering each via 0 gauge... problem is, one of the subs recently stopped responding (worked perfectly before)... i have tried using the other amplifier and no response so i know it isn't the amp... all i know for a fact is the problem starts...

but yeah, not to be rude, but the problem is the sudden loss in power when greater equipment is added, not the specs of my lousy subs...

errrr, yeah, sorry, i'm not entirely sober right now and i can hardly straight-mindedly rationally decipher car audio which makes it nearly impossible i'm drunk... but yeah, that sounds right, where do i go from here sunshine?

to be 100% honest with you i'm not sure, the specs say that they're 2” 4 Layer ASV Voice Coil... but when i took them out they clearly looked like dual, they're 4 Ohm mono stable according to the specs.... any ideas?

hey guys, they're dual voice coil subwoofers, and i have a stock jeep grand cherokee laredo alternator, i tried hooking the subs up without the cap and it was a bit worse, i suppose it has something to do with the sub wiring but any other help would be amazing!!
