    yep. it all starts with a good VCR and capturing in a lossless codec is going to yield your best results. at least this is what i have comprehended.

    good chance you could use a USB style capture device. however from my readings, most USB capture devices, capture video to mpeg 2 format. so it is not in a raw format. your cpu is fast enough to use USB. still need a good vcr. somthing like a super vhs. biggest problem with captureing vhs...
