    I have a main wire runnig from the batt. to the amp it has a 20 amp fuse in line. there is a wire running from the stereo to the amp and I have a ground wire to the car chassis within a couple feet of the amp wire gauges are what I was quoted from the instuctions from the amp.

    thanks for your help. I will pass on the capasiter. as for the tweeters. is it fine to put them inline with the speakers. I just could not figure out how the amp would seperate the two. does the pass. crossover help here? again thanks.

    Sorry, I'm kind of old school when it comes to stereos, this is my first amp hooked into a stereo. my system is a Kenwood KDC-4019 cd-reciever, a L.A.sound PCH 50 amp, pioneer 6x9 speakers. I used a wiring kit suited for this amp. I am just thinking that the alt. is just not up to it.
