Hello, I'm unable to access the photo gallery, it says I'm not authorized to access it... How can I gain access?

AFAIK it will recognize them, but you if you search for songs in a playlist or by artist, it will only show the first 255 entries. I guess this isn't a problem for some, but with the huge storage space available it is quite possible to reach the limit...

Integrated adapters (like the one from Alpine) are based on technology that originally was designed for CD changers. Needless to say, the CD changer interface isn't up to the task. It was never meant to handle thousands of songs and artists. The first manufacturer to realize that CD changers...

Maybe you've already tried this... but make sure it can read the CD-R(W) brand you are using. Try burning a normal MP3 CD and see if it plays that. If that works, the problem is most likely not related to the CD burning process.

Are you saying that you don't need several minutes to scroll down to artists or albums far down in the alphabet, like others have complained about? You can just skip a bunch and get to, say N, quickly? If so, that's great!

You don't need the iPod adapter, you can connect it to the AUX inputs. However, by doing this you won't be able to control the iPod from the HU. Also, I think you'll need another adapter (cheap) to get the AUX inputs on the 9855. I might be wrong about this.

Didn't know an adapter was needed to adjust the amp settings from the HU... I'm considering the exact same setup, 9855, amp and the iPod adapter. Please post a review and some pics and let us know how you like it when it's installed!

THX: Yes, I've seen that picture before, but if you take a closer look it is playing a CD. In the manual, Artist/Song is listed for CD playback, but it is not listed for iPod. From reading the thread you linked to, it seems like the manual is correct. It just doesn't make any sense, with...

Yeah I figured it would be awsome at displaying tag info... But I downloaded the manual and read it, and it seems the unit can display Artist/Album or Album/Song, but not Artist/Song? WTF? That doesn't make sense, it will annoy the hell out of me if it is correct?

The 9855 seems to be a cool HU, I was thinking of getting one + the interface box and an iPod to store all my music. Will this work well? I've heard that there is a limitation of 510 songs and 255 albums or something, in the iPod interface? Is this true?
