I had two 13.5 w6s off a 1000/1 and it was so clean and the sound quality was amazing. I would recommend them. And the output of the speaker itself is incredible. Made my ford taurus's windshield flex and so on. So sound quality and power is there.

Well figured out the problem. The negative input was not working on the line out converter. So the guy at ams fixed that. Said all my wiring was very good. And then tuned it which he found out the guy actually did screw it up. He had the bass boost on and had the gain turned up a little too far...

okay yeah it doesnt have a fan. but yeah i know what you mean. i just need to figure out why its overheating. its cut out twice but on separate days.

no i do not. But i feel he set my gain to high because sometimes i can smell the voice coils a little bit. Its a sweeter smell if i am correct. And i want to turn it down because i dont want to ruin my sub. Do i just turn down the gain or is it more complicated than that?

Lol i would hope so! he works for a car audio shop. Im going to sand it down tomorrow. And where my amp is at is on the back of the seat. it folds down so its easy to get to but could that cause it to overheat? And even when the seats are down and windows open in 70 degree weather you could fry...

No i havnt yet. But i had ams check that for me and he said the sub was putting out a 2ohm load so thats correct. Now with my ground i have it behind the seat on a bolt. Idk where to put it in my car and i have used it in all my systems. This is the first amp that has overheated with that ground...

Yeah sorry i wasnt thinking but im not sure. I had a professional tune it so idk whats up. But i put in a 4 gauge wiring kit instead of the 6 guage and made sure everything was super tight. But i havnt played them yet because im nervous something will happen.

Yeah i ghetto rigged it its getting pinched between my hood and where it closes. And it was tuned by ams and the gain is at 0, its not needed anyways.
