yes i predrilled my holes but i did notice when i removed my sub that were the top and bottom screw go the wood is split some

well i guess ill try some bracing on the inside of the box ill try to just add it in key areas and keep it to a min so i dont mess up my air space and port tune to much

it really doesnt do it constantly on every song just when it hits really hard but most of the songs i listen to with my sub have alot of the bass that causes the sub to hit hard especially 24/27 (Kobe/Lebron) by young jeezy that just makes it creak like no other

this is prolly it... when i first built it it didnt do it but after about a week of use it started this... any suggestions on how to make it more structurally sound

so i built my own ported box for one alpine type R 12" the box has 2cubic feet of air and its tuned at 35hz. I constructed this out of 3/4" MFD board. its held together by some wood glue 1 1/2inch dry wall screws ( may be 2" im not sure) and all the seams are sealed with wood putty. so basically...

So i have 1 12" Alpine Type R dual 4 ohms wired at 2ohms... Idk alot about the amp brands so idk which ones are good and which ones are **** and way over rated. So can some one give me some suggestions on what to get

So i just completed my first ported box wooo hooo it all works fine and stuff but the only problem ive really noticed with it so far its like a whistling sound when the bass hits im not sure if this is comming from the port or just another bad seal around the box. Any suggestions to fix this...

ehh maybe i just need to gett a diff sub then this ones not loud enough for me after about turning the bass on my stock head unit half way up the sound gets really shitty and distored maybe i just need to tune my amp right or somthing idk or maybe im a dumbass and shouldnt of even tried to turn...
