LARGE, complex system install... Whaddya need?

I agree with squeak!! Get rid of the Plye & Jenson. They will just add confusion to everything. And some REALLLLLLLLL KILLER SOUND! Not to shabby on the low end setup.

    ohm question

We all want something for free! But just like in life NOTHING is free! I have used several amps that rated to play down to 1ohm Jbl being one of them. Although the amps DID deliver 1ohm stability. In every case the sound quality sucked. Now I know all of you will tell me that you can't...

    RE Audio Comps Review

There is no tweeter adjustment on the factory x-overs. This is what pushed me towards the active setup. Raising the Tweet's x-over point 4k really helped ALOT! Also tried steeper slopes but just didn't blend with mid very well.

    RE Audio Comps Review

The tweet just sounded too bright to me. At high volume started to get harsh and breakdown in the lower range

    RE Audio Comps Review

Yes I know. The cab of my truck has about a 6db peak in the 2-4k range. It has been a nightmare to try and smooth out. It took forever to find the right points & slopes. I am open to trying new sugg. but I believe I've tried about every combo.

    Panasonic: Good, Bad, Ugly?

I had one for about 5 yrs. At the time it was there top of the line model. I loved everything about it. It was a great entry level HU. I'm a carpenter, so my truck is always full of dust, dirt, wood chips, ect. I beat the s**t out of this deck and it lasted 5 yrs. Still works but cd's...

What shall I purchase? Eclipse 8454? Or Pioneer DEH-p860MP?

I have had the Eclipse 8454 for a few months. I mean really is there anything this HU can't do! I upgraded from a Panasonic flagship model. It was a few years old but had 5volt Fnt,Rr,Sub outputs, great deck. The 8454 was a dramatic improvement from the moment I turned it on. All my CD's...

    RE Audio Comps Review

Ok... First let me say that this is my first set of comps. Although I demoed many sets, and know a few people with some comps, I don't have the experience to give a/b compairison. They are installed in the doors of my 2002 f150. Doors have been damped w/Dynamat Xtreme 1-layer on inner &amp...

    dual tweeters?

I have heard of using multiple set of tweets to help raise a low sound stage. I have also considered a second set up near the dash. I would think at a lower volume level, so you don't create a point source.

    Whats wrong with my amp???

I used to run a JBL 600.1 it did run a stable 1-ohm load but........ sound quality was horrible. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it but I'll try. The amp just seemed to have no control over the subs. It was muffeled, and lacked punch. I was running 2- Infinity Perfects dual 4ohm in a...

    US Amps or JL?

My experience with the 2000x Two 12" infinity perfects in sealed enclosure - Result was great sound untill I melted the VC's. Of course there rated at 350rms each. I was feeding them 1k a piece. Lasted about a month. Next up Polk Momo 2- 12" each sealed in .7cuft. Now these were just to...

    US Amps or JL?

Well I DO like the JL slash series amps. I have a 300/4 running my fronts. At the time I bought it I was looking at Arc Audio, USamps(tu-300), Zapco, and JL. When the right price came along the JL was left standing. It wasn't really my first choise, BUT for the price it was a no brainer...

    US Amps or JL?

I'm glad I have some supporters on this one. This is my first "real" system. Meaning no Circuit Shitty or Goof Guys. I spent countless hours researching, demos at shops, & shopping online to get what I felt was best for my budget. I know what I hear! And what I hear in the cab of my...
