both setups would be good but the powerbass setup willl get louder. Those pbx's just get stupid loud, I have one on the way.

The Powerbase Extreme series gets real loud and sounds good doin it, haven't heard the es so I cant comment on em.

I got a chance to hear a Power stage 2 15 in 4^ft with 1600wrms on it in a new GTO and all I can say is WOW. It got louder than the previous power hx2's and the sq was way better. I was very impressed but I dont think I'd spend that much $ on it tho, i'd wait til the internet gets em.

Yeah I've heard some good things about those db drive PL's and for $150 shipped you really cant go wrong, good luck.

No, not a bold statement but a true statement based on my experiences and my experiences only. In my experinces i've found that power hx2's get a little louder than l7's. You say you spl numbers to prove otherwise but I have spl numbers that prove likewise. Im doing 145's New termlab all day...

Depends on if that amp is 1000rms @ 2 ohms. If it is then I wouldn't put it all on that sub as it will be getting double its rms power. Why not buy 2 of the dual 2's and give em 500wrms each?

From my personal experience power hx2's get louder. But two 15 L7's vs two 12 power hx2's really isn't a fair comparison, of course the 15 will get louder. Now with 2 power hx2 15's vs 2 L7 15's id put my money on the power hx2's.

Yeah man how could you not know where Berkeley is? It's in the Bay Area about 8 hrs north of San Diego. Ever heard of Cal Berkeley? Its only one the nations top tier Universities.

The L7 and Power hx2 are a better comparison. The L7 has almost twice the power handling as the punch and will get louder. out of those two i'd pick the L7
