2011 Silverado Backup Camera w/ stock HU

I have a 2011 Silverado with the Bose package and the Nav HU. I would like to be able to turn on the stock backup camera while in drive. It would be useful for when I'm towing my boat. I have found the wire that sends power to the camera and have wired it to an accessory wire to come on with the...

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

So I have two questions: I can turn my gain all the way up and nothing bad will happen with the stock HU? If I get LOC's all will be good and I will see the correct voltage?

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

I know what regular speaker clipping sounds like. I don't know what subwoofer clipping sounds like. I can turn the gain up all the way on the sub and don't hear any problem with it, but I'm sure that is too high. I'll just set it by ear I guess. Just wondering though, do you have any speculation...

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

So what's the problem? How can I set my gain? The system sounds great but I just don't want to mess up the speakers.

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

Correct, it's not changing the signal at all. My amp is designed to take either high or low through the RCA jack.

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

This is the adapter that came with the amp to get high level speaker input to the amp via RCA jacks. http://images.sonicelectronix.com/images/380693/big/gmd9500f.jpg

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

I'm actually at work right now so I'll have to get that to you later. But basically there were 8 speaker wires from the head unit, they did go straight to the input of the stock Bose amp. They now get spliced into a RCA cable. That goes straight to my Pioneer amp. There is no LOC, it's spliced...

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

Yeah, I posted the link to my amp with my original post. If you read the features of it it says it there.

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

No it's not a converter. It's just two RCA cables that is bare wire on the other end., picture an RCA cable then cut one end off and wire your speaker output to it You know most amps have desperate input for high level, well my amp can take high or low level trough the RCA jacks. I know what a...

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

Well I have read that the stock Bose radio only puts out low level RCA output because stock they go straight to a Bose amp. But other people have said that it is not low level it is in fact high level speaker output. I really don't know how to tell. But my amp takes either through the RCA input...

    Setting Gain with Multimeter Problems

I don't think it is the amp because my 4 channel amp has the same problem. So you're saying just get a headphone jack to RCA cable and hook my phone to it? If I do that and I get the right voltage what should I do about the signal from my head unit?
