I want to check what my spl is, where can i use/buy a DB meter?

I have 0/1 gauge wire threwout, i havent actually hooked up the subs yet as the shipping is screwed up, anyways, i have a few more questions, on my mtx 8000's inside my sealed speaker box, what gauge wire should i use? i have 12 gauge, do you think that is big enough? and then on the outside...

I dont understand, when you wire in paralel doesnt it cut in half each time? or is there a way to do it so you can make it go perfectly down to 2? and on the gain thing, i know gains are dangerous to any subs, it adds too much distortion, i wouldnt have been turning the gain up much anyways...

Well it is all worked out, i am pretty sure that the bd1000 is stable that low, but, the guy i bought them from told me he could special order 8 ohm speakers, so now i have three 8 ohm subs that bridge down to exactly 2 ohms, which is perfect for that amp, so i am all good to go, thanks

Do you think my MTX 81000D could survive at 1.3 ohms? or do you think it isnt wise? oh and what about one sub to each output and the last one bridged inbetween ? or is that even posible?

I need help wiring 3 SVC subs to my 2 channel amp, i have three MTX 8000 10" and one MTX 81000D Amp, I was wondering if i should just run all three positives and all three negatives to the amp in bridged mode of if i should run it in a series mode? I am putting this sytem in my car and i was wondering how it will sound copared to Alpine type R or Solobaric L7's and i was also wondering what kind of box i should put these in and what wiring configuration to use?
