The only issue I can see is with the tube final stage as far as relaiblility goes. There are quite a few things that tubes do not like such as vibration, being power on and then off in a rather short duration of time (they like to be on for hours), and extreme temp changes. It would be exposed...

I'm well aware of there reputation. Though there are of expertice was home audio back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. There current products are pretty good but they aren't the cutting edge in audio either. Thats what I was getting at.
