That is clearly a cracked cone that someone tried to fix with silicone. I own two of these subs and neither of them have silicone anywhere, just CA glue. you should fire them up to see how they sound.

Are you looking for 500x1 into 1 ohm? Class D or A/B? Mono or Stereo?

i knew the 80.1 would be built better because it costs more, but i was thinking it would be overkill for a modest system. I'm not a teenager looking to impress, I just want solid bass for a reasonable price.
