I would agree with CrossoverOre. Also make sure your positive and negative speaker wires are not somehow getting crossed. Some amps have a Protection circuit in them that detects when a short occurs in the speakers. The preamp section is likely ok if it doesn't go into protect with the RCA's...

The FETs themselves will not cost you too much but all the FETs that are hooked in parallel with that one (which may only be the one right next to it) will need to be swapped out also. The cost for fixing Rockfords can be a bit high because of the way the FETs are mounted to the insulator...

Thanks for the advice. I have been surrounded by amps before and felt a bit overwhelmed and of course my wife didn't help that situation at all. I learned after that to set better expectations and communicate more with my customers about my current workload. I do appreciate the advice.
