Thanks guys, another question. If the subs are rated 400 watt rms each, does that mean that I need a 800watt x 1 amp? Same for the door speakers. If they are 110 rms each, 3 ohm. Does that mean that I need a 500 watt, 4 channel amp.

Also, if using JL Audio shallow subs, says 400rms 800 peak with dual 4 ohm voice coil. Do these subs need a mono 1 Channel amp? Do I need to be concerned with ohm load? Just trying to figure out what amps are available for our project.

Greatly appreciate the replies.I will get into it to see what is actually in the doors, what is wrong with the front speakers and what amp is currently there and if the door speakers are amp or head unit driven. Assuming we will go with premium Fosgate or infinity door speakers and jbl 12"...
