nyone mess with the ppi 365CS comps? $139

You can get it for $121 shipped on Ebay with Bing Cashback 10% from Sonic Electronix if they list it again. http://cgi.ebay.com/PRECISION-POWER-PPI-356CS-6-5-CAR-COMPONENT-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ290342981176QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Speakers?hash=item4399ca4e38&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Otherwise, you...

nyone mess with the ppi 365CS comps? $139

I've installed speakers in the past, but they were simply drop in and screw.

nyone mess with the ppi 365CS comps? $139

Does anyone have a detailed installation manual? The one that came with it doesn't tell you which screws to use and doesn't have enough pictures. What are the two round metal brackets for? Do they go on the back side of the speaker? What are the two foam strips for and how do you use them...

For fuses, can 20Ax2 protect the same amount of power as 40Ax1

I'm using the general rule of thumb that 10A=100W of continuous power. Amp A has 2 20A fuses Amp B has 1 40A fuse Can they both output around 400W?

nyone mess with the ppi 365CS comps? $139

Thanks for the recommendation! Would these be able to power the 356cs with front channels and bridge to power a sub with rear channels?

nyone mess with the ppi 365CS comps? $139

They're back on E-bay. I ordered one for $121 shipped after 10% Bing cashback. Any recommendations for a 4 channel amp around $100 to power these up front and factory speakers (or bridged for sub) with rears??

You've convinced me. Four 6.5"-6.75" coax speakers + amp for $300?

I bought the Precision Power 356CS from Sonicelectronix on Ebay for $121 shipped after 10% Bing Cashback. They are components that convert to Coax, which is how I'll run them. Now I need a 4 channel amp to power these plus factory rears or bridged to power a sub, for around $100. Any...

You've convinced me. Four 6.5"-6.75" coax speakers + amp for $300?

Ok, I will spend all of my money on an amp and front stage. If I get a 2 channel amp, I can use the head unit to power the rear factory speakers. I've been reading about comps that are convertible to coax like the PPI 356CS, CDT CL-60 and CL-61CV. Are these better than traditional coax...

You've convinced me. Four 6.5"-6.75" coax speakers + amp for $300?

The car is a 1999 Corolla with 140k miles so I'm trying to be minimal with this. I'll get a true system when it dies and I replace it with a new vehicle My goal is to get the best sound for $300 with minimal work. I just want to have something decent to tide me over. That's the reason that I...

You've convinced me. Four 6.5"-6.75" coax speakers + amp for $300?

This is why I love this forum. You've convinced me to get an amp + speakers rather than letting my head unit power them. Vitals: 1. Eclipse CD3402 head unit (13x4 RMS, 35x4 Peak) 2. Power wire will be the factory wire from the harness. 3. Amp will go under the front seat. 4. 1999 Toyota...

I forgot to mention that the speakers will be powered by an Eclipse CD3402 head unit (13x4RMS, Max 35x4)

Need 6.5" coax recommendation, under $200

I'd like to replace my 4 speakers in my 1999 Toyota Corolla, replace and drop in. According to Crutchfield, the speaker size is 6-3/4", but 6.5" should also work. Depth can't be more than 2-38". The speakers will be powered by Eclipse CD3402 head unit (13x4RMS, Max 35x4, so they need to be...
