I just hooked up one sub and wired it 1000watt at 1ohm sounded great, must just be the power. need a bigger amp. like a hifonics 1600D anyone got one?

I have a JVC AVX2 dvd. the gain on the amp was about 3/4 all the way up. I just turned it all the way and nothing. the head unit is at 80hz and I turned the hipass filter off. when they were wired for .5 ohms it was a little louder but i didnt run it long, wasnt sure the amp could take it

the box is sealed up nice, we checked it over. no leaks. im not sure what you mean by phase. I have all 4gauge wire, two batterys and a one farad cap. getting 13.47-15volts. the subs are barely moving

I couldnt believe it was 4.45 cubic feet. the box goes clear to the back of the seat and all the way down in the trunk. they are firing up. half in the window and half covered up by the hatch. we have tuned the box for so many different things and nothing sounds even halfway loud.

yeah there wired at two ohms, ive checked.. and re-checked. ran the amp at .5 ohms and there still not loud. there in a firebird. with a square vent port. should I get a bigger amp? or just try and trade them for dual 4ohms?

I have two dual 2ohm type R's in a 4.45cubic box tuned to 33hz. there powered by a memphis 1100watt mono block running at two ohms. Ive tryed everything from tuning it to 28hz, 45hz. running the amp at .5 ohm.. and is still sounds like crap

It sounds like crap, not loud at all. think my friends Sony's would take it. The box is 4.45cu not 3.9cu. I figured it was 33hz. either way it blows. longer port? i dont know what to do. they should have plenty of power. I have a Memphis 16-MCD1000 amp. running 600rms at 2ohms

I went with a square vent 6in wide, 4in tall, and 9in long. sound about right?

The box is in a firebird, the subs fire up. I built the box for three JL audio tens but I traded them for two alpine type R's. it is 3.9cubic ft. I put one sub on each side, and platted the middle hole. I was hoping to place a port in the plate, between the two subs. I can attach a picture if...

ok could I build a square port? how many cubic in. should the port be? would 33hz sound good with those subs?

ok can I still use one port tho? maybe a flared port?
