hey guys, i been looking at some conversion charts and have been getting some mixed results... what ampage would i need to power a 1000 watt system? some say a 160 amps, but others as low as a 110 amps...??

hey rangerman, how did the sub handle 2800 watts? i thought the ed12a only handled 1500 watts peak, at 1000 rms?? thats hella tight to get so much power off one sub.. but yah.. just wondering?? thanks!

yeah..i kinda see the redundancy in that.. then why are caps even an issue or worthwhile product? especially when im paying just about the same for a new alternator? only benefit i can see is that its applicable to any other car..so if i change cars..i can move my cap also... are there any...

i've gotten a few quotes from various places.. the local place is offering a 110 amp alt for 130... one place online was offering a 165 amp alt for 230.. and another place selling a 150 amp alt for 180... i think the 110 for my 130 shhhhould be good enough..im driving 1000 watts right now...
