PDX 4.100 or PDX 4.150 to power Focal K2Ps?

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go with the PDX 4.100, I can always upgrade if it isn't enough, which is doubtful from what you guys are saying. Thanks for the help!

I met a prick yesterday, his name was John Law.

You're lucky you weren't in Lindale.

PDX 4.100 or PDX 4.150 to power Focal K2Ps?

I was going to use an active crossover set-up using an Alpine H701. Or should I just use the passive crossover that comes with the K2P's.

PDX 4.100 or PDX 4.150 to power Focal K2Ps?

The K2P's specs say 100W nominal, but I've heard that Focals are power hungry to sound their best. So will the over rating of the PDX 4.100 let these Focals perform their best, or should I give them even more by going with the PDX 4.150? I guess that's what I'm looking to find out. How much...

PDX 4.100 or PDX 4.150 to power Focal K2Ps?

What would you recommend? Advantages of using one over the other? Is the 4.100 sufficient?

    How are the Kicker 3ways?

Sorry, Mikey, I kind of hijacked your thread with the 5.1 talk. I figured since the guys were talking about rear fill being not so important I wanted to get their opinions on if it were the same if you wanted to do a 5.1 in the car. For me, I go on a few long distance driving trips a year so...

Does it really matter what type of music I listen to?

I'm currently shopping around for some nice comps for my front soundstage. I don't really want to spend more than $500/pair but might go a little higher depending on what I find. I've been hearing very good things about the Focal 1652KPs, and the Rainbow Germaniums. My first question, are the...

    How are the Kicker 3ways?

I have a question about running a rear fill for those of us who with an A/V HU: Do you still consider it unncessary? I'm definitely new to car audio so I'm asking purely for knowledge. My main concern is listening to a 5.1 source such as a DVD. I was thinking of putting comps in the rear so...

    I need Double Din, Alpine W205 v Kenwood 8019 v ???

Well, I went with the Alpine IVA W205 as I received a really good deal from a local dealer. Now I have to decide on some speakers and amps. I guess no part of building a good sounding system is easy! I'll try to take some pics later.

    I need Double Din, Alpine W205 v Kenwood 8019 v ???

The more opinions I can get, the better as none of the stores around me have any of these models for me to look at personally and I can't seem to find any reviews of these.

    I need Double Din, Alpine W205 v Kenwood 8019 v ???

What if I throw an Eclipse AVN 5495 into the mix, how does that compare to the Alpine and Kenwood? (I spoke with an Eclipse dealer and he informed me that the Eclipse units WILL fit in my car.)

    I need Double Din, Alpine W205 v Kenwood 8019 v ???

Well, in my searching for a good head unit to build a system around, I've discovered that I have to go with a double din configuration. I've read up on the Alpine IVA-W205 and the Kenwood DDX 8019. According to Crutchfield and Circuit City, the Eclipse AVN's don't fit in my car. So, I'm...

Can anyone tell me if I can use a flip out screen in my 2003 Impala?

A Kenwood 8019 fits, the Alpine IVA-W205 fits, the Pioneers fit. So, I don't know why they're saying the Eclipses won't fit. And the AVN 7000 is a single din, but it says that won't fit. When I choose other single din units, they say they fit, but give me a warning on the bottom of the page...

Can anyone tell me if I can use a flip out screen in my 2003 Impala?

Ok, according to Crutchfield, none of the Eclipse units will fit in my car. Why not? Does anyone know? Now I don't know what units to consider. I wanted the Eclipse SQ, but also a DVD player. I am very discouraged right now.
