    MTX 8512 or the Type R

    The two subs I'm looking at is the MTX 8512 and the Alpine Type R. I'm looking for a sub that will get loud and still have good SQ, it doesn't have to sound amazing at very loud volumes, just decent, I'm looking for SPL mostly. Which of these subs you guys think would be the better buy?
