Hypothetically, if I had two 100 watt rms subwoofers, would i want a 100 watt or 200 watt rms amp?

This is somewhat related. My buddy told me that i should have my woofer firing down and my port facing forward. I drive a 98 Cherokee. So, would this port forward/sub down configuration sound ok, or should i go with something else?

Yes, i measured the distance back, right, down, and right. Not totally sure I needed to measure that last right turn though.
