Thanks a ton for your help. I'm beginning to understand. So if I wire this amp to the sub, it will be outputting x2 into the 4ohm voice coils at 142 W. So it will only use about half of the peak RMS on the sub. And I have a paypal account and regularly use my CC online....it's just that the CC...

So if I used that amp and wired it at 2 ohms it would only utilize half the subs power? I don't really use my credit card for large purchases...most of my disposable income is in cash so I'm going to try and look around for a good deal on one of the ones you mentioned.
