o yeah, depth is a little shy in the tundra too @ 2 5/16. The alpines are 2 3/4in.

According to crutchfield the 98 tacoma only has 2 1/8 in depth and 5/8 in. to play with for height, but that inludes the top of the speaker. So, basically no they don't fit without modding the door. Good speakers though, I like mine.

I emailed Arc Audio and they said their amps are tested at 1khz and my HU won't see 4v at 1khz ever so it would work fine. I still have the problem with the gains though. I checked each channel and still way too high. I have the internal amp in my HU set to off, and put the volume at 25/35...

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same problem and I'm not sure I understand. The relay goes before everything? If you have an electronic crossover and multiple amps would the relay go between the HU and the crossover?

I have an arc audio 2100cxl that I just got and when I tried to set the gains (theres one per channel) I can't make them read less than 61v with the volume at 85%. That is checking the bridged channels. it should be at 38.98v for 380 x1 @4ohms. The gains are all the way down and it's still...

mp3s are made like a cdrom. you can make several folders for each artist or whatever and fit a ton on a disc. make sure they are at least a bitrate of 128 or higher or they sound like crap. I've never tried to make the .wav files into different folders, but it wouldn't really make sense...

Couldn't the components of the amp have some effect? If you build something with crap, and the same thing with spec exeeding parts usually the better built whatever is going to work better than the other.
