I just got them installed, powered by a Memphis Belle. I don't find them harsh at the slightest bit. Actually very neutral, ironically a bit more than their home speakers.

I'd think ported. Sealed enclosures will project the sound out far but not sound as good up close. I think your trunk is most likely close enough to you...

I have 6 total speakers. With the Memphis Belle I figure I'll run the fronts in series and then I can add a sub. I figure even with less wattage, having dash and front door speakers will more than be enough.

I'm bidding on one of those now. I haven't got to hear them yet, but I've heard exceptionally good things from everyone.

Actually in the above post I messed up a little. I was A/Bing a cheaper Pioneer with the Eclipse for a long time, I never really ABd the P4900IB and the Eclipse, but I did AB both Pioneers and mine had better mids and highs.

Infinity Kappas, 60 watts in in the front and 110 in the back. I don't need that much wattage... the JBLs wattage matches nearly perfect actually as far as power is concerned but if there's a better amp I can get for the same price I'd jump on it.

How is the MB Quart? I typically hear good about them....

These sound very intriguing... didn't they sell for mad expensive new and were supposed to be very good but now sell used for a price range much more wallet friendly? I should also point out, 50 watts RMS (if true RMS) is more than enough power for me.
