I have a active x-over coming in the mail soon, which has gains built into it. Where do I set the gains on my amp, if I will be using the gains on the X-over for control? Max or Min sensitivity?. Or should they both be equal (ie 2volt on the X-over and 2volt on the amp for example).

oh, and check clearances with your window DOWN. Dont want to roll your window down and take the back of your speaker off if it sits deeper than your stock ones. Watch your wires too.

You can get L-pads that attenuate the tweeter, without changing the impedance the X-over sees but they need to be matched for the resistance of the tweeter. If you have a 4-ohm tweeter you would need a 4-ohm L-pad. They have a little knob that you can turn for the amount of attenuation. I think...
