    Go to you local car audio dealer and pick up a cross- over. There is a little instalation required but it is real easy. I don't know if they still make them but MTX used to make a real good cross over for about $100.

    the problem is your amp is atable at 2 ohms but your sub is not. putting a 2 Ohm load on a 4 Ohm speaker can destroy the voice coil QUICKLY!!! My suggestion would be to bridge the 4 ohm amp and let the good times roll!!! Let me know how it works out

    Most of the time if you go to the dealership service department and ask nicely they will print out a wire diagram for you with all the info you will need

    I agree with Goddyd4me. I would like to add one more thing. What is the Ohm stability of your amp? The issue might be that you have dropped the Ohm rating down below what your amp can handle. When you turn up the volume it causes the amp to heat up and go into protect. Just another thought.

    First things first. No you can not hook two seperate amps together to power the same sub. What type of amps are they and how many channels? Are the amps brideable Are they stable at 2 or 4 Ohms, or both? How many Ohms is the speaker? Something to remember just because the speaker says 300...
