What comp. speakers should I buy?
Why be sorry? I would get a good comp set, like some morel or focal or even (hate to say it) Kicker and get an amp later. It will sound better than stock. -

type R's or american bass
I have type R's and like them alot, i get really good bass out of them. But I have also never heard of american bass either so i couldn't tell you abouht them -

What to look for in a HU (Noob)
I would look for everything listed above and also look for pre-out volts. May want to check out the eq features to see how much tuning you could do- focusinty

one more comparison guys. Focal 165KP components vs. CDT's ES620 what are your thoughts of these two in comparison? your inputs are much appreciated. -

Worth my time and money?
why not image dynamics idq sub? a brutus amp and a premade box with the same c.u. range? it'll cost around 300-400 and sound a hell of a lot better then what you posted. -

also, a local stereo shop i checked out are all about their morel's...they didn't sound that great in one of the car that had all morels (maybe its just the setup), any ideas how great these are in comparison to the others.- focusinty

i am really leaning towards the idmax or eclipse ti....i've never heard the focals...are they really that great in sq? the power rating for a sub seems low- focusinty
