wouldn't that defeat the point of a sealed box, because it wouldn't be sealed anymore?

my friend and I are building a sealed box in the trunk for 2 12's. I was planning on putting the 2 amps inside on the floor of the box until I realized that it wasn't going to be ventilated.. I want someone to confirm this so I don't try it anyway..
