Hello, I am in the process of acquiring my system components. I've got everything needed except a H/O alternator which is next to get! If I could pay a professional to install my sound system, I would. But, I'll likely be installing myself.
I work for a well known artist in Scottsdale, AZ. Hopefully, I'll be teaching combination welding at RSI soon. That will speed up my install process.
Also, I am building a super custom subwoofer out of epoxy resin. It is even more ambitious than my audio install, but do not want to be content.
I was a professional drummer and have extensive background in pro audio, but I am a total amateur when it comes to car audio.
A few years ago, I had to make the decision whether to spend 3× KBB value of my '02 F150 King Ranch to make intensive repairs and keep it on the road or buy a "new" car. I love this truck so much I chose to repair my truck and now I'm dumping way more money into it that I'll never see back. But, that's just fine because I'm never selling my truck, not even if I get a new car. I do mobile welding out of the back as I built as slide-out rack for the generator, welder, plasma cutter, compressor, etc. and a matching sleek ARE camper shell keeps it all secure. It's on 24s and runs like new.
