I bought it used off ebay, and it has always been like that. What could be wrong though?

I don't know what's wrong with my mtx 4250d amp. It powers on and it does power the infinity 1242W sub but you have to turn the gain ALL the way up and the bass boost at least half way up to get any output. I know the sub is wired correctly at 2 ohms.

can someone explain why all test tones don't keep the same voltage?

Alright, I just bought a dmm and set my gains using the tutorial method. I used at 60hz tone at -3 dbs. I set it so that i got the calculated 40v ( a little past half gain). Then I noticed that when I played other test tones 40, 45hz, etc; the meter would go past 40v more like 50. Is this ok or not?

I got an alpine type r 12" powered by a Directed 1100d and an alpine 9847 HU. My question is if I have the bass set at -7 on the HU (because the head unit doesn't have a crossover and it takes the bass out of the door speakers), am I allowed to turn the gain up?

lol, i had no idea this was only my 1st post. I've been one here like everyday browsing but i guess not posting but I'll take a look at that.

I just wanted to know if someone had one laying around that you don't use anymore that would suit two Type R's. Instead of having some one make a custom one.
