Thanks for all of the advice. Think I'm just going to add a sub and an amp for now, see how I like that and then maybe do more later. Is it possible to have my factory amp tuned ('don't know correct terminology') to have my little 8" subs under the seats play mid-bass ('again terminology')...

1 set of 4" components and 1 set of 4" speakers.

I am replacing my factory speakers. Front Door = 4" components (shallow depth) Rear Shelf = 4" speakers. Any brand recommendations. I haven't bought car speakers in many years. Any help is greatly appreciated. Budget is >$400.
