    Sounds like the amp is shot, when this occurs it is usuall an internal power supply failure.

    That would be a fail why? If by adding a stiffening capacitor is the incorrect thing to do then please tell me what to do? I have been installing car stereos for a long time so I guess I have been building systems incorrectly I guess my MECP training and certification has steered me wrong...

    With 4 ch you can easily pick up engine noise that is why it is necessary to run a ground loop wire. Max:wow: retune your system bro. What is the brand of radio?

    Remote turn on is typically blue/white. To fix the engine noise tap a wire onto your radio ground and run it to your 4 channel amp and connect it to your amp ground. When I tune systems especially with 4 ch amps I usually set a peak level on the radio and then adjust the gains on the 4 ch amp...

    Had a similar setup and like above I replaced my factory battery with a yellow top and added a 10 farad tsunami capacitor and did not have any dimming issue after that.

    FM Antenna Extension

    Mobile video units that have a "brain" come with an antenna extensions, if you need one longer than that you can pick one up from you local Best Buy or Circuit City.
