ok, well i decided to try and take the sub out of the enclosure and hook it up directly to the amp and see if it still tripped the amp into protect.. which obviously it did.. soooooo apparently the box isnt what is causing this problem correct? it obviously has to do with the amp..

understandable, but should the inside of it look like it was superglued like that? lol.. this has got to be some sort of refurbished piece of junk that was passed off as new?

here, i just took a quick (horribly shot) video from my iphone on the inner constructions of the box.. its apparent that this box is all messed up from the inside.. i cant believe "brand new" equates to this.. This is actually upsetting - warning haha

ok... well, here is what happened today.. 9 AM i went directly to the store and walked in explaining my situation.. the guy who i initially spoke to about getting the installation done was at the shop and i told him what happend and he said he knew because he installed it.. So i told him that...

Also, the whole claim that the box is "faulty" and that the looseness of the box is whats causing the amp to shut off is quite a nonsense excuse is it not?

other than seeing the exterior of the amp and wear and tear on it, i suppose there is no real way of telling if it was actually new or not?

Their store is closed right now, but i will be back there 100% right away in the morning.. im starting to get the feeling that i was pretty much taken advantage of.. Does $500 seem reasonable for that amp+install despite the fact of it not being able to work properly?

understandable, unfortunately its raining pretty hard here in new york.. im quite uneasy about digging around searching for the end of that negative cable lol.

i turned the bass boost back down to zero.. i really cant tell where the ground on the car goes to, its raining here and im quite scared to be digging around searching for where the negative grounds to despite having the car off.. how would that play into a factor?

is there a way i should go about diagnosing this by changing each wire? or battery? big 3? any advice which approach to take first?

understandable lol. im quite pleased with the loudness and crisp sound of the sub, anything louder would be extremely damaging to me.. i just would like to have it stay on

so, the consensus is that there is actually some sort of wiring problem that is causing the amp to trip? is that amp actually adequate for the speaker? or is it being severely underpowered?
