    no, not by any means. I tested them in sealed and in a passive radiator enclosure and they perform well in both. I prefer the extra output of the PR enclosure, still has plenty of SQ. I tuned at 25hz, 30hz, 32hz and 35hz and all sounded nice. they all sound nice. personally for music (in car)...
