Wouldnt the linedriver raise my output voltage and then allowing me to turn down my gains decreasing the distortion

I just recently purchased 2 soundstream dtr 2200s and i have a clarion HU that puts out 2 volts. I have been doin some testing lately and ive had to turn up my gain on my amps alot in order to hit higher numbers but im gettin alot of dirty noise, would a line driver help im thinkin about the ss...
