    need help....

    i just got a new 1200 watt power acoustic amp and wired it up..... when i turn my radio on my sub will thump about 6 or 7 times and thats it.... i can feel stuff coming through the sub but it wont hit.... no bass no treb no nothin..... whats wrong with my stuff???
