I have two of the 12" version of that sub except I have the dvc version. I like them a lot. Mine are in a 2.25 cu. ft. box ported at 28 hz each ( I like sq ). I think you will enjoy them a lot.

Have you checked the fuse? If it isn't the fuse then youmight have broken something when you forced the plug in there.

You wont get Noise because your RCA cables are ran next to your power wire....( it is DC not AC) it is probbably because of a bad ground or different grounding spots..

Well if you want to go to 100 Hz on your low pass you would have it turned left of top dead center. Top dead center is about 144 Hz. When i set mine i had to think about it a little bit too
