the vehichle electronics should be ok with the extra juice, what I cant figure out is a way around the fact that the computer controls the voltage output of the alternator so I don't know if I can just hook up an ext. reg.

In my opinion they are worth the money. Look at how much good batteries cost. A charger is cheaper than buying another. But I can't tell you how they work . Magic and voodoo I believe.

Well as the title implies I am trying to figure out if I can controll my alternator to run 14 volt system. I have a 2008 f150 4.6. It is computer controlled. Does anyone know how to get around this? Will an external regulator work on it? Do I need to change to a non computer controlled...
