I got it figured out, bad distributor. Car runs fine now. Thanks for everyones help.

If there was a vacuum leak there would still be spark after the car stalled, after the car stalls there is NO SPARK.

After the car stalls I put a spark tester on and tried turning it over, nothing. The spark tester is confirmed working. The original cat is on it.

The check engine light doesnt come on, thus the computer wont store and error code if it doesnt know that something is wrong. My next guess is the crank position sensor.

Replaced the ignition coil and the ignition control module, no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cant argue with that, but with the price of diesel now days youd be eating it later.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying the Jensen is better then or even as good as an alpine or kenwood. Im just saying, he only wants to spend a max of $400 Jensen is going to be the best for that money.

After 2 months it would still be under warranty, jensen has a 1 year warranty program, send it back and get another.

Go with the one in the sticky, most of the time you can build a better box then what the manufacturers put their recommended box size at.

Do a master reset on the iPod and redo the firmware update, the face that it works with other ipods tells me that its not the cable and is your ipod. Also, clean the connector on the bottom of your iPod, i've had problems with dirt and stuff in mine.

I second the Jensen, you can get them for pretty cheap on EBay too, just get one of the higher end models. Alpine and Kenwood are nice as well.

Eclipse is probably the way to go, orange isnt a very popular backlight color, your more likely to find blue. From what i've heard the ipod control on the eclipse is pretty nice. I dont think youd be dissapointed.

I disagree, from my experience (my dad owns a 2002 BMW 525i and my mom owns a 1990 535i) the European cars will run a lot longer then most domestic cars around. Although I agree, parts are through the roof when something goes out but I wouldnt say a BMW will break more often then any other car...

Well, the IAC was replaced before I bought the car about 3 months ago. Whatever it is, when it happens it shuts down the ignition system because after it stalls there wont be any spark.

As in Idler Air Control? The sensor or the actual valve itself?
