I'll just pick up the PDX-M6 then. Is it pretty easy to wire the subs to do 4 ohms? Should I still use 1/0 gauge wire for the power wire?

I have to rewire my truck with 1/0 power wire on top of the big 3. Right now I have a MRP-M500 and I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and pick up the PDX-M6 for the little extra power for the two subs. ***** having to spend $300 for just another 100W.

Would I even have to worry about doing the big three upgrade?

Screw it...I'm going to down grade. Amp: MRP-M500 or the PDX-M6 Subs: SWS-1243D 12" (300 RMS)x2 No upgrades needed besides maybe the big three???

    Couldn't I just add a cap?

Rollin in a Nissan Titan so yeah...no trunk. I guess I could put in a HO alt. but wouldn't that just open up to more things I would need to mod?

My bad...I meant the SWR-1043D...not 1023. Does "HO" stand for "high output alt"? I'd like to stay stock as much as I could. I have very little room in my engine bay for a batt but I have no problem upgrading some wiring in there. Would I just be better off with the SWR-1023?

I should need a high output alt correct? The "big three" upgrade should be good enough?

Just wiring the amp for the subs...nothing else.

If the MRP-M2000 is the better amp to get than I'll pick it up. On alpine.com they have the SWR-1043D (4 ohm voice coils x2) rated at 600 RMS. Is there a good wiring kit I could pick up to wirer this up? Would I need a power cap?

I haven't bought it quite yet...still trying to figure out which amp would be best. Just as long as I stay with alpine... SO would the MRP-M200 be a better choice for the subs? It costs less which is a plus.

So 4 ohms will be fine or will it make the amp work too hard? No sure how hot these guys get but it will be under a seat (with a A/C vent near it) so I'd like it not to work too too hard.

Running it 1200 RMS at 4 ohms will make it work pretty hard I take it? Could I just run the subs at 2 ohms?
