yeah, they were the best till the 5900 came out...basically they just have more range... i think it's 1 mile vs 1/4 mile for the 791. The 5900 uses the spread spectrum technology like the compustar.

well....you should never buy an amp according to it's peak out put. The reason that some amp's peak is twice it's rms and others are only 100 more is because of the way they get the peak output. The peak is usually measured by running a huge current through the amp and getting the highest output...
