Not really. As long as your poer wire is the correct size, then just use the same size ground wire.

What is your price range? Do you want components or coaxials? Will you be amping the speakers, or using the HU?

They don't go over $450 on eBay anymore, def not $650.

Ugh, I know. I just bought a winter beater and wanted to put in a HU that plays MP3s. Take out the old CD player in there and it was a huge, sticky, electrical tape mess.

I'd stay away from Audison. A friend and I both had the LRx series, and they were very overrated as well. If their lower line does this, I wouldn't even consider spending the money for their higher line. He was originally going to gowith the Focal amps, but since decided on the STEG K...

Amps are affected the least of all car audio components. HUs get almost unresponsive in very cold temperatures, and subwoofers get very stiff.

Until you know it wasn't caused my misuse or abuse, you shouldn't make statements like that.

It doesn't automatically damage anything, but it definetely can! If the middle part of the RCA touches anything metal, it will ground it out and can burn the outputs of the HU.
