    kicker cvx box

I built a box for a guy with a ext cab truck simliar, he was going to use 2 cvrs, then he changed his mind to cvx, and by the time i got the box built i think he ended up putting 2 RE XXX 12's in it. but here is a picture of what it kinda looked like. you would take the 6x9 boxes off the top and...

so how many cubes for l7 15"

I would put the sub and the port on on the same panel, and bump the box up to 16 inchs. but that is just me.

Audiobahn recommends 1.5cu for most of their 12" so i would say width x height x depth 15.5 x 15 x 16 or you could use the full 20 x 15 x 16. it wouldn't hurt much, it just should have better low extension.

The dim's you gave are 2.1ft^3. after you port it depending on how low the port your looking at around 1.7. Sealed is really your only option. I mean you could make a ported box but it probably sound like shit.

Yea flared helps. And since they are flared you can get away with 4 instead of 6 but if you want 6 sure. I'll accommodate ya. I'll tell ya this you won't have to worry about port noise with 6 flared ports, it will be none existent.

    3d box drawing?

Since He wants to have the subs up and the ports back. I'm going to give him a 4th port when I send him the skp. Since the top only had room for 3. That will drop him down around .03 VM

    02 chevy x-cab box HELP!!!

If space limited? If so go with sealed, they have tighter bass with a fairly small space requirement. And since your going under a seat that is what i would recommend for 2. Now if you want to remove the seat. Then you can go ported get louder and get close to the same tight bass.

Need more info like what space requirements do you have to work with. And I assume since it needs to be small you will be wanting a sealed box.

    3d box drawing?

Basicly It has to do with the resistance of the air flow going through the port(s). When your port is too small the Vent Mach goes up causing you to hear the noise of the air going in and out of the port. Normally anything under .06 you can't hear because by the time you get the sub pumping hard...

The ports have a vent mach of, ~.05 at both 35 and 38 tunes. if you went with 4 ports, it would drop it to ~.03 not much of a difference, when i build boxes i like to keep it .05 or lower. only reason why i didnt suggest adding a 4th one.

    3d box drawing?

Yea most 12" subs have a cutout of 11.1875 but their outside diameter can range from 12.25 up to 13.25 so the cutout doesnt help much when placing subs. 3 4x7.5" ports come to a tuning of aprox 35.2hz

    3d box drawing?

Im not absolutely sure this will work since i dont know the outer diameter of the sub. but it is a guess that the outer diameter of the subs are 12.45" and the mounting hole needed is 11.1875". if the subs outer diameter is greater than 12.45 the box will have to be made wider. by .5" to...
