IMO, if you want the SQ (or close to) the W6 has w/o the price, get an Elemental Designs Ov series... **** good SQ and they can get pretty darn loud too... get a Nine.2x (600x1@4ohm) to go with a D2 sub and you're set...

The company had a rough patch back in the day - a few years back... NOW, they're on top of their game.. They've got their shiznittle straight...

I ran 2 Eu700's in a 30Hz 1 cube ported box with 600+w and the little subs seemed to enjoy it... Rick - over at Icixsound - was running 4 of them in an SPL box off 4 NINE.1's!!!! hit somewhere around a 145db

6000s = $95 and not released just yet - should be any day now (maybe after CES) 6500s = $250 right now - should go back on forum discount for $185 soon which is a REDICULOUS price for these!!!!!! even at $250, they're a steal!!

The Elemental Designs 7Kv.2 has outstanding SQ and surprising output for a 6.5" driver... I had 2 in a 30Hz ported enclosure with 600+w going to them and they handled it well....... I think they're only $45/ea at http://www.edesignaudio.com with the forum discount..

^^^ why do that when you can get 2 Sq Ft of edead V1^2 for $2 and 2 sq ft of edead v4 for $4???? that'd equal about $10-$12 after shipping

I'd take any eD over any Alpine any day of the week - just personal preference... I've never really respected Alpine a whole helluva lot... eD's customer service is second to none not to mention their outrageously inexpensive prices for what you're getting... but for the high pwr handling...
