Why not buy a D1 HDC3 and wire it to 2 ohms? That sub can take a lot more and you could eventually save up, beef up electrical and buy an SQ 2200 later on or something like that and run it @.5 ohms which would be enough for an hdc3 for daily.

Now that freezefest is in the books, you can get an idea of what score you will need to win a street class. The more competition, the better so you can join me in Street 2.

My daily set up is 2 hdc3 12s on 2 3500s strapped @2 ohms. They take it like a champ, but I'm also not tuned low and don't play anything lower than 30hz. Most power I've ever put to a hdc3 is 2 3500s @.5 ohms each. Didn't take a full burp without hearing mechanical noise. But moral of the story...

I think it'll take more than one box to get it there. I'm not sure if a 4th order will get you there either. It also depends on where you meter at. Kick usually yields higher numbers than @ the headrest. But 3.5k and a single 12 is doable. Look at the "spl gains" thread over at smd, best thread...
