Btw, the subs are in a sealed box about 1 cu.ft. each. The bass is loud but I want it to be "chest-squeezing" in nature, not more of pounding, if you know what I mean.

This is referring to the peak frequency or sweet note or burp frequency. My question is what frequency I must tune my ported enclosure in relation to the peak cabin resonance of my vehicle.

sorry for the thread jack! Question is: when you use the TL to know what frequencies predominate in a song, do you necessarily have to play the song through the car audio system, specifically through the subs? If so, would it not matter if the subs are in a sealed vs. ported enclosure? Or can...
